Design Order, an industrial intelligent CAD (computer-aided design) manufacturer, announced on Thursday that it had completed an A round of financing. This round of financing was led by ByteDance, followed by Ningbo Lianchuang Yongjun Investment Management as well as some previous shareholders including Gaorong Capital, SIG, K2 Angel Partners, Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group. The funds will be mainly used to strengthen R&D and business development.
Design Order is an innovative enterprise that provides intelligent design and manufacturing software products and services. To date it has established an intelligent design technology system for industrial machinery design applications. Its core business is cloud-based intelligent industrial design SaaS and engineering services.
Although the company was only founded in 2020, it now has more than 100 people working for it. Most of the members of the R&D team come from well-known manufacturers such as NIO Inc., Alibaba
The SaaS software for intelligent industrial design developed by Design Order is the first AI + CAD industrial R&D and design software. It is not only equipped with geometry and graphics engines necessary for CAD software, but also adds an independently developed calculation engine. The engine is developed based on industrial data, and its core is the neural network intelligent algorithm. At present, the company’s products are mainly applied in the field of automobile welding fixture design and stamped-mold design.
The company is also the first manufacturer in China to implement cloud native intelligent design services in the field of automobiles and related equipment. At this stage, the company is gradually expanding its product applications, and the use of its SaaS products has grown steadily. The company has served more than 30 clients, and the number of its design solutions downloaded has exceeded 10,000 sets.
In the future, the company will open up the interconnections of simulations, processing and manufacturing on the basis of intelligent design, and then implement a transformation from requirement to design to delivery of OTDTD (order to design to delivery). The company aims to help customers reduce their costs while increasing efficiency.
