Black Friday is fast approaching, and news about which sales to expect are rolling in from various retailers, including Nintendo. There won’t be any big discounts on Nintendo’s new Switch OLED this holiday season. Shipping issues and chip manufacturing delays have made the new system more difficult to track down than its predecessor. If you’re in the market for one, it’s important to buy early.

Nintendo isn’t letting down Black Friday shoppers, though. There are already an array of holiday deals for the 2021 season. The Switch bundled with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the big gift option. while Nintendo also teased $20 discounts on a variety of “select games.” Since that earlier announcement, though, we’ve seen some bigger, better Switch game bargains already hit.
Nintendo
For 2021, Nintendo has revived an old favorite: The Switch bundled with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month subscription to Switch Online, all for $300. Once the three months are over, the Switch Online membership will automatically renew. You can renew the membership for $4 a month on a month-to-month basis. Prepaying will get you the subscription at $8 for three months or a full year for $20.
This isn’t the new Switch OLED with a larger screen, but considering the game and Switch Online are being thrown in for free, it’s not half bad. This is already sold out at Target, so we’re including the Best Buy link here.
Black Friday Switch game deals
Many of the discounts below are the lowest prices we’ve seen on these titles to date.
- Ring Fit Adventure: $55 (save $25): This fitness title was impossible to find throughout the pandemic, but it’s now widely available at a nice discount.
- Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit: $60 (save $40): This set lets kids control a real-world racing car with the Switch. It was also hard to get for months.
- Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit Luigi Edition: $60 (save $40): This is the Luigi-branded version of the above.
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: $27 (save $13 or more): Probably the best game on the Switch, this price is an all-time low.
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe: $27 (save $13 or more): This is another all-time low.
- Just Dance 2022: $30 (save $20)
- FIFA 22: $20 (save $20)
- Sonic Colors Ultimate: $25 (save $15)
$40 Switch games now available
At $40, that’s a $20 markdown on these popular Switch titles. According to Nintendo, savings on games will run from Nov. 21 through Nov. 27 at various retailers while supplies last. However, as deals emerge, we’ll go ahead and post them. A full list of game deals can be found at Nintendo’s site, but here are some highlights:
Walmart and Target also have a selection of Switch games on sale for as low as $14 for their Black Friday events. (Walmart’s starts Nov. 22.)
