The Federal University of Technology, Minna, on Wednesday, matriculated 4,706 trainees into its different programs for the 2021/2022 session.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Bala stated the event marked the official enrolment of the matriculating trainees into the university’s scholastic programs and the start of a brand-new chapter in their lives.
He even more stated that the matriculating oath taken by the trainees officially inducted them into the university.
Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Emmanuel Udensi, Bala prompted the brand-new trainees to make mindful efforts to be part of the procedure of developing a neighborhood of law abiding individuals.
” Stay away from patterns of behaviour and social practices that are not constant with the worths we uphold and promote.
” We have no tolerance for such practices as cultism, evaluation misbehavior, combating, attack, rape, illegal drugs usage or drugs marketing, subscription of unlawful associations, scams and monetary racketeering,” he alerted.
The Vice Chancellor even more advised the trainees to be security mindful both for their individual security and the security of others.
” Do stagnate about alone, particularly in darkness, constantly draw the attention of security workers if you discover anything suspicious and constantly show your identity cards openly.”
The News firm of Nigeria (NAN) reports that trainees from each of the university’s 10 schools existed by the Dean of the numerous Schools after which the registrar administered the oath on them.
All the matriculating trainees in each school stood and duplicated the oath after the registrar.
